Glastonbury Festival! and dates…

It is AMAZING to finally share this with everyone as I found out in January that i’d be playing Glastonbury Festival.

I am particularly excited to play this festival, not because of Adele.., or because of it being full of lots and lots of people, but mainly because when I told my Dad he stopped dead on the phone and when completely quiet, and when I told my mum she shrieked so much I think my earpiece in my phone broke.

Glastonbury is a great festival, one of many great festivals, but it is the only one that spanned generations and countries enough for my Grandma to be congratulating me, knowing the importance of it, as well as my relatives in Australia. and for that experience, I am really really grateful. All of the hard work my family have put into supporting what I do, and I’ve finally been able to turn around and say, i’m doing something which you can understand the cultural significance of. It’s a really bloody nice feeling.

Pulse Festival, Sunnyfields

I’m so excited to be invited back for a second year to play at Southampton’s Pulse Festival.

After having such a great time last year, i am very keen to see what is in store this year.
The line up has a lot to offer, with The Correspondents (who are a personal fav of mine), Fun Lovin’ Criminals, and of course a tea drinking Mr Scruff!  The local ciders, ales, food from local restaurants also prove for an indulgent weekend!

I’m playing on the court yard stage on Saturday night, with a full live audio/visual set!

Southampton is my home town so I’m even more pumped for this show..AND rumour has it, my gran is going to be there!!!!

Pulse Festival. 10th & 11th May 2013.

I have had the pleasure of being invited to play at this years Pulse Festival, near my hometown, Southampton.  I have heard lots of positive things about the festival from previous years, but have yet to see it myself.
I am looking forwards to enjoying a range of music, and joining many others that are there to support the cause.  Pulse festival was founded in 2010 to support the Childrens Heart Unit in Southampton.  It has been a huge success and continued to grow since it’s set up just three years ago.  After speaking to one of the organisers, Mark Ward, I can only see an exiting future for Pulse, and am very keen to be a part of it.  This year has plenty of things to offer for people of all ages and music genres, and who wouldn’t want to go and have a bit of a knees up, discover some new music, and support such a worthy cause?
