I’m excited to announce i’ll be playing a show to mark 25 years since Massive attack’s album Blue Lines was released. I’ll be collaborating with Jilk as part of a one off performance where we will reimagine four of the tracks from the album, at Bristol’s independent cinema The Cube. More info below..
BBC Introducing in the West presents a night of music, spoken word and film, celebrating the influence of Massive Attack’s seminal album Blue Lines on the culture of modern Bristol. Featuring new local musicians Andy Oliveri, Jilk, Kayla Painter and ThisisDA as well as spoken word artists Sally Jenkinson, Stephanie Kempson and Vanessa Kisuule, the gig will take place the night before Massive Attack’s live return to the city. There will also be an exclusive showing of a BBC documentary on the making of Blue Lines. Oh, and Sam Bonham and Richard Pitt from BBC Introducing in the West will be broadcasting the whole thing!
My latest track ‘Drones’ is being used on the amazing Fully Charged show!
check it out.
Today marks the release of my new track Drones through Turnstile Music. Whilst I was finishing writing the track I had some ideas of how I wanted the video to look. Those ideas developed, and I kept feeding them until it grew into something coherent.
So then, I decided to take the role of being a director in the video. I had such strong feelings and thoughts about how the video should appear, it was the only logical step. Drones is the first ever music video I have directed, and it was certainly a challenge. Without the help and support of Jason Baker it would have not been possible at all. Jason, Mandi and Flavien were a great team to work with and I owe them a lot for helping me bring my vision to life.
It brings me so much pleasure to release this track and video out into the world!!
Watch the video here.
Wonderful remix for my new track efa from Maiians.
Great to hear some of my ideas worked into something which is on the grid!
Nice dancey vibe!
On Friday I was invited to be part of Lau Land, an amazing weekend of music curated by the trio Lau. They had programmed a diverse mix of electronic, world, folk and experimental music. I was on in the Lantern supporting Plaid. Jason and I bought our dual screen show to the Lantern. There’s a lovely write up of it from Cone Magazine here.
Here are some pics from the show. It was a great one!
Anyone that picked up merch – I will be bringing Vinyl out in the near future.

Turns out the world IS listening! To a panel this week in Bristol… – The World is Listening//
Last Sunday was International Women’s Day, and events were happening all over the world to celebrate! We celebrated in our own way, launching The World is Listening project in Bristol with a panel discussion titled “Where are all the women?” It was quite a broad subject to begin with, and impossible to devour in just one hour, but our aim with it was to get the conversation rolling and inspire ourselves to do more. We handed out some feedback forms and I’d like to share the results with you. We are going to pay very close attention to these results and are already planning workshops and talks for later in the year based on what YOU want! Perhaps this resonates with you and you want to find out more about how to host a talk in your town? Give us a shout email@example.com
Or perhaps you have more to say on the subject?
